Blogs in Education

Blogs in Education

Blogging is beneficial to education. It benefits education by helping students of all ages become familiar with the world of the internet.  It is helpful to schools because automatically students love using technology and when they are able to use the internet, they try doing the best they can. There is no excuse for not being able to do anything because of the fact that the internet has everything you possibly need. Using Blogging in schools can help teachers and students as well. Blogging in schools helps students by making them interact more frequently with the web. It helps the internationalization of publishers and writers to do what they do best.

Blogging is beneficial to education because it helps students of all ages become familiar with the world wide web. From simply sitting in your chair at home you are able to access almost anything and everything you would possibly want to know. Now, sometimes this is bad because people may use it in a bad way but people usually know what the right thing to do is, especially students in school. Being a student myself truly shows me that my statement is true whether people disagree or agree. School work is so much easier now that we are able to use something so powerful.

As technology grows as the years pass by, kids of all ages are now using the internet. Especially blogging, everyday in a computer class students are learning to blog as well as use the internet the right way. People have even said that  "A blog is merely a tool that lets you do anything from change the world to share your shopping list. Whether its from making strong class power points or using the right search engines students have learned almost everything they need to know. This helps improve classwork because students like using modern day technology. Although sometimes it may make people lazy because they don't do as much work there is still no excuse for not doing the right thing because of the fact that there is no excuse to not have your work perfected(or completed).

Another great thing about blogging is the fact that you are open to everyone's opinions regarding topics you like and love. By simply checking someones blog you are able to see everything. Now sometimes seeing everything isn't always the best thing but when you know what you are doing and you know what the right thing to do is then there shouldn't be any problems concerning what you're doing. This invetntion has made the world of techonolgy differ in so many great ways. Use it well.

Although some people disagree on the topics of blogging, most people feel it is a great way to interact with others. it gives reliable sources because of the ultimate no boundary world wide web. it teaches others to use what they learn in school, outside of its walls and it makes doing school work interesting. "Your blog is your unedited version of yourself ."

Regents!!!!!

As the end of the year slowly comes by most freshman have to get ready and prepare for their regents exam. This year freshman have to take their earth science and math regents. Both these regents determine whether or not you get credits for the class and move to the next level. The regents exam is similar to the final exam we take at the end of the semester. We have to memorize all the stuff we have learned from this entire year along with skills and how to do and figure out each question. Hopefully all students will pass their exams. I am confident that i will as well :)

Chinese New Year Celebration

Last Tuesday our school, CSIHSIS had a new year celebration. Although new year has been over for a while we made this event a great success. We had food and tea and all sorts of presentations for the people that came. We even had a dragon dance that the boys worked very hard on. Ms Jiang and Trotter really did the best they could and it showed :)
